Why Aloe Ferox does not need to be filtered like the Aloe Vera plant

Unlike Aloe Vera, Aloe Ferox does not need to be filtered as it is a so it has a higher nutrient concentration; as nothing is lost during the filtration process.

• The leaves of the Aloe Vera plant are soft so ‘aloin’ penetrates into the white pulp.
• This is why manufacturers often filter or chemically neutralise the product to remove the ‘aloin’ content.
• Aloin can cause unwanted side effects such as electrolyte imbalance, diarrhea, and abdominal pain.
• The leaves of the Aloe Ferox plant are physically a much stronger plant so aloin cannot enter, which is why it doesn’t need to be filtered.
